"All for Naught satirizes the daily frustrations with malfunctioning technology, devices that always seem to fail right when we need them most, and machinery that must have been designed by committee. It lampoons everything from pompous lawyers and the IRS to digital watches and endless lines at the drivers license bureau. It's filled with laugh-out-loud situations that everyone can identify with. Dilbert could relate."

The latest uRempee3 audio player manufactured by Teenage Vegetables, LLC is changing what people are listening to.Literally.
It seems the new iEarIT chip in the current line of players has a mind of its own. iEarIT is supposed to listen to song lyrics you are listening to so it can recommend other audio presentations you might like such as other music, books, news reports, podcasts, radio stations and so on. It does this job well most of the time but some owners have complained that the player sometimes changes the lyrics to songs it finds objectionable then recommends things that it finds falls in line with the lyric changes.
Teenage Vegetables says it's not a problem and that owners are just so used to getting the song lyrics wrong that they aren't prepared for the recommendations being made by the player. But, that does not explain the recommendations that come from opera or Broadway show tunes.
Naught Watched suggests buying an audio player that has less bells and whistles, a Zune perhaps.
Under the white-hot light of his intensive interrogation during the recent LA Creation Entertainment Tri-Con, Jeffrey Berman, Executive Producer/Writer of the upcoming web series, Naught for Hire, said that the first draft of the upcoming four-issue comic series - story boards and outline - are complete and in the hands of co-writer Ben Browder who is currently reviewing these preliminary documents and providing his notes so that they and John E. Stith can begin writing the first draft of the first issue.
Jeffrey also stated, while struggling to extricate himself from the hot seat, that his goal is to hire celebrity illustrators from the comics world to create the four (or possibly more) collectible covers. A publisher and printer of the series has not yet been decided, but much research has been done to ensure that these comics will be keepers.
Ben Browder has permitted his likeness to be used for Nick Naught in the comic, and that after an intensive search, a terrific artist has been lined up for the drawing and inking of the interior pages. After an additional pronounced prodding, Jeffrey went on to say that the comic is planned to have a retro look and they are testing a black and white noir look with splashes of color to accentuate the action in the frames.
The story takes place ten years before the action of the web series, and explores the origins of Nick Naught as a P.I. Even under the extreme duress we caused him, Jeffrey would not provide more details about the story, saying that telling more would be considered "spoilers."
The comic is scheduled to be out in time for Comic Con in July 2012.
According to the Ben Browder fan site BenBrowder.info, episode #511, titled 'Chuck versus the Bullet Train', is scheduled for January 20, 2012.
According to Ben at the Farscape 2011 con, there will be lots of guns and bullets.
John shared a good deal of info about Naught for Hire. He talked about Ben Browder's involvement in Naught - producing, writing -, show sponsors and the producers' desire to see the show as a franchise (Nick Naught action figures maybe? - just an idea Jeffrey) among other things.
